I've recently discovered what an impatient person I am... or have become. Let's be real here... being engaged is the most exhilarating, stressful thing in the world. I can't even do a countdown because we still have more than FORTY days to go, and counting only makes it go by slower. So I'm trying this 'one day at a time' thing and let me tell you.... its like mental, emotional and physical torture!! Okay fine.. I'm pushing the dramatic line a little far but in my defense, planning a wedding is STRESSFUL! For the last few months, thoughts of flowers and cake frosting flavors have been flooding my mind during math and history class... but truth be told, fourteen times a day I think about how lucky I am to be SO close to the day that I get to be married and sealed to my best friend for time and all eternity. The weeks get busier and busier but I get more and more excited everyday, despite all the craziness and planning that remains. I'm reminded everyday of the wonderful people I'm surrounded by, it makes it hard not to wake up wide awake with a smile on my face. I just can't even wait.

Resurrection.
I'm serious about this. My blog is coming back to life and I'm going to keep up. It's the New Years resolution I never had this year... so what if I'm four months late. I'm certain that I've lost all sense of competency that goes along with blogging, but I'm making it a goal to expand my blog knowledge and become one of those over-excessive blogging wives [to be] (maybe then I'll make it to posting a few times a month?). I've had SO many wonderful things happen since my blog experienced a long, painful, excruciating death, so it's time to catch up. Round two. Bring it on.

20 and one month.. Happy birthday Lo!
There's nothing I love more than celebrating birthdays with my girls. I'm super late with this post, but better late than never right? My Lauren turned TWENTY on July 11th... I don't know why but the number 20 strikes me hard... I feel like its significant enough that when my best friends turn two decades old, I need to post something about it... because naturally everybody is so worked up about turning 21 that turning 20 is just another inevitable day of growth and learning...... but a lot of wonderful things happen in your 20's...... so it should be one huge recognized celebration. 20 means you've survived 7300 days in this insane world and you have 7300 more days until you are 40 and your life is entirely changed and you begin another huge celebration of life. So cheers to 20 years of life, and one of the greatest friends a girl could ask for. I'm so grateful for this girl, it'd be impossible for her to ever fully comprehend how much she means to me and how much I love, adore, and look up to her. I've had the opportunity through the years to watch her grow and transform into such an incredible person, and there isn't a day that goes by that I'm with this girl and don't learn something new. Heavenly father truly blessed me with such an amazing friend to grow up with. I love you lo.

4th of July. Happiness. Sparklers.

The fourth of July is probably the greatest holiday ever. We celebrate America's freedom by blowing things up... it's great. I spent the weekend in a bite size town in Idaho with good company, boating on the Snake River and watching a ridiculous amount of fireworks. Nothing could have made it better. We watched the small town parade in summer clothes and sandals on a beautiful day while waving American flags with smiles.. it was something to be proud of. I love this place, this country, these people.

We came back from Idaho on Sunday and pretty much went straight to Richfield where we celebrated the fourth of July a second time on Monday. We took a small plane ride over the town, drank our body weight in orange julius', and enjoyed every single, solitary moment of the 4th celebration. We literally just spent the weekend floating around with nothing on our schedules but appreciating life and new memories.

My beautiful cousin Summer got married last weekend... and it was incredible. It was a long, hectic weekend full of fun and laughter and we're all so blessed to have a new addition to the family who fits in perfectly. I don't have very many pictures yet but I have this video that I'm kind of obsessed with.... It's a sneak peak into one of the greatest weekends ever.
Summer I love you so much and I'm so happy for you and Brad. I have the best family on the planet.
